The Transfer Articulation Coordinator is supervised by the Registrar.

Provides assistance by developing and maintaining transfer articulation agreements, as needed, and by assessing credits for the new transfer student population at large, with special emphasis on students enrolling under terms of the Mass Transfer Programs.
Works with the Admission's office to assist with articulating courses for transfer students.
Knowledge of Ellucian Banner, Degreeworks, Curriculog and Acalog is preferred.
Assist with Ellucian Banner and Degreeworks upgrades related to transfer articulation.

Duties include but not limited to:
Essential:
Work with department chairs to develop and maintain, as needed, course-to-course equivalency guides for all 15 MA community colleges and Asnuntuck CC, CT, as well as program-to-program articulation agreements for selected MassTransfer majors.
Wherever expertise and/or faculty permission permits, perform articulation of pre-matriculation transfer course work for placement in the Common Core and establish course-to-course equivalencies of core and other introductory transfer courses.
Responsible for maintenance of the Banner pre-matriculation transfer articulation database.
Serve as the campus liaison for the MassTransfer program, as the campus representative to the statewide MassTransfer Steering Committee, as the campus representative to the statewide Academic Pathways Steering Committee, and the DHE MAST Steering Committee.
Travel is required.
Develop comprehensive course-to-course equivalency guides for the 11 Massachusetts community colleges.
Next, develop common core course-to-course equivalencies for the Massachusetts state colleges and universities.
Maintain the MassTransfer Course Equivalency Database with accurate course information.
Communicate with Dean's and colleagues relative to transfer articulation updates and assist in resolving student issues.
Liaison with other offices to streamline the onboarding of transfer students.
Assist with the course approval process for courses taken at other institutions.
Update student records in banner with approved articulated transfer course work.
Work with Registrar staff on the integration of transfer course equivalency and assist in maintaining the degreeworks database.
Evaluate and update students' records with Advanced Placement Scores (AP) and College Level Examination Program (CLEP) scores.
Updates the University catalog using the Acalog software and course catalog in Banner as needed.
Processes curriculum substitution in Degreeworks.
Participates in orientation, registration, graduation clearance, and commencement.
Assist with grade collection and academic standing process.
Required to maintain University communications standard of respectful, professional, and service-oriented written and verbal exchanges in all interactions, at all times.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in higher education.
Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, listening and advising skills.
Ability to interact with a diverse group of faculty, students, staff, and university personnel.
Preferred Qualifiactions Experience with Ellucian Banner, Degreeworks, and Acalog preferred.

Salary:
For the majority of new employees, the minimum starting salary will apply.
Specific salary for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts must be calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining and state policies and procedures.
