Payroll Coordinator

Scope of Position:
Responsible for a range of functions to ensure the smooth operation of the payroll activities within an organization.
Coordinates with the other department team members to perform a variety of clerical duties as necessary to prepare, record and disburse assigned payrolls in an accurate and timely manner.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

Enters employee's time worked as needed Acts as corporate payroll liaison for and responds to client base in an appropriate manner Communicates with division representatives to reconcile payroll issues Maintains employee's files in coordination with Human Resources Calculates, compiles and distributes wages and salaries Prepares regular reports and summaries Prepares internal A/P invoices for liability disbursements Audits and verifies recorded transactions and report irregularities to management Maintains accurate records Maintains petty cash account Completes various data entry tasks for the department Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested Bachelors degree or qualifying work experience Four to six years of related work experience Ability to maintain confidentiality Aptitude for figures, detail oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines Enjoy teamwork Good verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of general business office machinery Background in payroll procedures and automated payroll systems Ability to use computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookSalary:
$23 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
