Position Description:
We are seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to work Full- and Part-Time in Skilled Nursing Facilities in the Westfield, MA, area.
Qualifications:
o Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Massachusetts.
o Successful completion of a state-approved CNA Program.
o Must maintain certification with a minimum of 12 hours of Continuing Education Programs.
o Associate's Degree preferred.
o Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
o Must have excellent references.
Responsibilities:
o Evidence-based decision-making and accountability.
o Ensure that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individual's needs and rights.
o Serve the needs of patients in a safe and comfortable manner, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
o Assist licensed nurses with the admissions, admission assessments, and discharges, of patients, as well as the and transfer and care for patients' personal belongings.
o Help patients practice the six basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
o Coordinate scheduling for patients' Speech/Language Pathology services, Occupational Therapy services, and Physical Therapy services.
o Measure and record weights, blood pressures, temperatures, pulse/respiration, as well as provide state-regulated skin treatments.
o Under supervision of licensed nurse, assist patients with the application of clean dressings, slings, stockings, and support bandages.
o Provide direct care to more acutely ill residents.
o Receive and escort visitors.
o Collect charts, records and reports.
o Perform all duties in accordance with established methods, techniques, and recognized standards.
o Legal, ethical, and professional practices in compliance with federal and state mandates, as well as local policies concerning performance.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
